Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine Physician for NE (Locum)

 VES is seeking physicians to perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams.Â

Provider must be within 50 miles:
- Omaha - 1.50/Lincoln - .75 - 2.25 days per week needed
- Â Grand Island, NE - 0.5 days per week needed

Details:Â
- Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, is a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans.Â
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoingÂ
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&RÂ
- Two (2) options for coverage – Â
- Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility Â
- schedule Veterans within your own practiceÂ
- Option to work ½ days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)Â
- One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessmentsÂ
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury. Â
- No prescribing, no treatmentÂ
- Quick credentialing & onboardingÂ
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) – will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified- Client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or the portal training before startingÂ
- Use of Goniometer requiredÂ
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio requiredÂ
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.Â
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)Â
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)Â
- Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).Â
- Evaluations to be completed in VES's provider portalÂ
- Record review is required in most casesÂ
- Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics)Â

Submission Requirements - Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular and neurological examsÂ
- Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)Â
- AANPÂ
- Active and unrestricted full licenseÂ
- Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certifiedÂ
- CV needs current home address listed for presentationÂ
- Will need a copy of ECFMG certificate if they attended school in a different country.
