Job Description
Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is looking for a Locum Trauma Surgeon.
Â
- Dates of Coverage:Â ASAP until full time provider hired.
- Schedule:Â M-F 7a-4p, 3 weeknights per week 4p-7a, Sat/Sun 7a-7a call
- Reason for Coverage:Â Gaps while we recruit a full time surgeon
- Practice Setting:Â Hospital
- Average Number of Trauma Surgical Cases Per Day:Â 5
- Trauma Level/Designation:Â Level 1 Trauma
- Annual ER Volume:Â 80K
- Percentage of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital:Â 35%
- Total Number of Beds:Â Â 617
- Documentation System/EMR:Â Epic
- Description of OR Staff:Â Â Full compliment
- Patient Age Demographic:Â Primarily Adult/Geri but occasionally child/adolescent
- Provider Must be Local - Only Mileage is Reimbursed
 Procedures Required:
- Trauma Cases ADULT
- Trauma Cases GERIATRIC
- PENETRATING Trauma Cases
- BLUNT Trauma Cases
- Chest Tube Insertion
Laparoscopic Procedures Required:Â Â
- Appendectomy
- Cholecystectomy
Submission Requirements
- Board Certified
- Fellowship Training
- Active CT License (can reconsider if no candidates available)
- ACLS
- Local Candidates-Â Preferred
