Skylands Urgent Care in Lake Hopatcong, NJ is looking for a Board Certified Primary Care Physician who will join their team. The Physician will work with other healthcare providers and support staff in a multi-specialty, urgent-care, group practice.Â

SKYLANDS URGENT CARE was founded in 2018 by board-certified physicians to provide responsive, compassionate emergency-level care on a walk-in basis to people with urgent medical needs. We have 5 convenient locations in New Jersey: Lake Hopatcong, Franklin, Vernon, Blairstown and Flanders.Â

Job Description
Skylands Urgent Care in Lake Hopatcong, NJ is looking for a Board Certified Primary Care Physician who will join their team. The Physician will work with other healthcare providers and support staff in a multi-specialty, urgent-care, group practice.Â
Job Description:
- Responsibilities include providing patient medical care to all age groups in an office-based setting, delivering diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, and making sound medical assessments and treatment plans.
- Outpatient setting
- Office Hours are as follows (working schedule TBD by practice to include some on call and rotating Saturday shifts):Â
- Monday - 9am-6pm
- Tuesday- 9am-8pm
- Wednesday- 8am-8pm
- Thursday- 8am-9pm
- Friday- 9am-5pm
- Saturday 9am-1pm - Disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recoveryÂ
- Treatment of acute illnessesÂ
- Treatment of acute injuriesÂ
- Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygieneÂ
- Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedÂ
- Provides direction to both clinical and reception support staffÂ
- Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy (above 80% with goal of 95%) of E/M coding – and closing/sign off after review of all patient charts in accordance with company policies? Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for productivity/PCN (percent net collection) bonusesÂ
- Expected to see 25 patients per day
- Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy of HCC coding. Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for VBC bonusesÂ
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Â
- Successful completion of CHC’s credentialing and privileging review upon hire and re-credentialing as appropriateÂ
- Strong computer skills with prior electronic medical record (EMR) use preferredÂ
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, hospital personnel and community membersÂ
- Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuriesÂ
- Remains calm and effective in high pressure and emergency situationsÂ

- Clean malpractice is required
