Join our esteemed team at Bay Area Hospital in the serene community of Coos Bay, Oregon, where exceptional work-life balance meets coastal charm.  We are seeking a full-time or part-time Medical Oncologist and/or Hematologist to join our renowned cancer center, serving as the primary hub for top-tier cancer care across the southern coast of Oregon.

Job Description:
  • Accepting part-time (48 hours per pay period) and full-time (80 hours per pay period) candidates.
  • BE (within 2 years)/BC in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
  • Experience practicing Radiation Oncology with a strong record (or an excellent recent graduate) is preferred.
  • Demographics for this area are roughly 20% Hematology, 80% Oncology.
  • Average Number of Patients Per Day - Clinic/Office: 10-15
  • Outpatient at Free-Standing Cancer Center - BEAUTIFUL FACILITY.  No inpatient consults, only outpatient clinic visits and collaboration with infusion
  • New 19 chair infusion room
  • Onsite mixing pharmacy
  • Nurse navigation
  • Radiation Oncology onsite
  • 8 hour days
  • 1:4 call (primarily critical lab calls)
  • A full scope of services that include cardiology, radiology, oncology, emergency care, surgical care (including bariatrics and robotics), critical care, inpatient psychiatry, wound care with hyperbaric medicine, primary care, pediatrics, OB and home health

Submission Requirements
  • TRULY Board Eligible (within 2 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
  • OR license (or willing to obtain)
  • State any experience practicing Radiation Oncology (add to "Experience" field)
  • BLS (or willing to obtain) 
  • Has ties to Oregon - i.e. family in the area or has lived in OR at some point (note in "Additional Submission Details") 
  • Is the provider interested in part-time or full-time employment? (note in "Additional Submission Details")

Modern technology has made diagnosis and treatment easier. New and expanded medical services include laser treatments, MRI, CT, PET, mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, laparoscopy, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, varicose vein treatment, advanced radiation therapy, and robotic-assisted surgery.
