Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center offers access to advanced diagnostic tools like 3D imaging and mobile mammography to help detect cancer at its earliest and most treatable stage. Our integrative approach to healing enhances the quality of life for patients and their families including genetic counseling and education, nutrition counseling, CLIMB child and family support, rehabilitation services, music, art, yoga and exercise therapy.
Our team of experts uses the latest treatment options such as precision radiation therapies, access to the region's largest number of clinical trials and personal care navigators that guide you every step of the way.
As Idaho's only Brachytherapy Center of Excellence, we are reducing radiation treatment from six weeks to five days for partial breast cancer. Learn more about this life-saving care.

Job Description
Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center is looking for a locum Hospitalist Oncology to fill a need!
DETAILS:
- Practice Setting: Inpatient rounding, admitting, consulting
- Start month (with credentialing): May 2025
- Shift hours: 8 am – 5 pm (no call)
- Patient Population for Required Coverage: Inpatient Oncology unit – both oncology and hematology patients
- Support staff - Do APPs Provide Coverage: No, although outpatient Oncologists available for any support or questions.
- Inpatient coverage
- Locum be Responsible for Supervising Other Health Care Providers: No
- Documentation System/EMR:Â EPIC
- Locum treating both Oncology and hematology patients and administering medication.Â
- 90-day credentialing timeframe
- Board Certified Medical Oncology OR Medical Oncology/Hematology -(can no longer consider IM with experience)
- ID license in handÂ
- CSR, DEA, BLS
- Provide AvailabilityÂ
- Clean background/malpracticeÂ
- Local, no flightsÂ
- Must have COVID vaccine in order to work at this facility
