We are expanding our OBGYN Hospitalist services into the state of Ohio! Building an exceptional team to collaborate and work together in creating and delivering optimum care for the Athens, OH area.
Job Description:
We are committed to ensuring every expectant mother in labor and delivery receives compassionate, high-quality care from our physicians. Our OB hospitalists are available 24/7 to reduce delays in emergent OBGYN care, reduce wait times, improve outcomes and enhance your experience as a patient. We partner with mothers and offer collaborative support for private-practice physicians.
Our focus on OB hospitalist medicine allows us to provide enhanced care due to our extensive knowledge and experience. We deliver world-class, evidence-based care to support a positive birthing experience, resulting in happy and healthy mothers and babies.
In the past 40 years, Pediatrix Medical Group has successfully grown from a single specialty practice to a national medical group dedicated to women's and children's services. Today our MFM and OB/GYN hospitalist program is the largest in the nation, with 205 MFM specialists and 225 OB/GYN hospitalists providing care in more than 300 hospitals across 20 states.

Job Description:
- A successful OB Hospitalist program should be a collaboration among your hospital's staff and affiliated obstetricians, family practice physicians and sub-specialists. Our experienced OB Hospitalists provide OB triage, admissions inpatient care, and delivery for hospitalized patients. This cost-effective, cohesive approach improves clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.Â
- 24-hour shifts. Flexible scheduling to create work life balance for you. Coverage for Obstetric and Gynecologic emergencies.
- Collaboration with community OBs in a highly supportive and cohesive group.
- Best practices ensure continuity, quality and safety.
- Real-time communication with office physicians of triage visits, new issues, and deliveries.
- Improved outcomes, enhanced experience, reduced costs.
- Multidisciplinary OB Critical Care.
- Management of OB/GYN emergency-department patients.
- Not accepting Locums candidates

Prior to coming to Wapiti, Lisa spent over 21 years in Retail Pharmacy in multiple roles including Manager, CPhT and Compliance Officer. Some of her accolades include Diabetic Lifestyle Coach, Orthotic Shoe Fitter and ACHC Accreditation Specialist. Lisa was also the recipient of Pharmacy Technician of the Year Award by the South Dakota Board of Pharmacy.
Lisa is a mother of two adult children, Eric and Brooke, whom she is incredibly proud of. In her spare time, she enjoys DIY projects, drawing and painting, traveling both domestically and internationally, cooking, gardening and experiencing new adventures so she can continue to check things off her bucket list.
