UCHealth Associates in Women's Health is looking for an OB/GYN to fill a need!
Details:
- Schedule: Clinic Mon-Thus is 9a – 4:30p and Fri is 9a – 3:30p. 24 hour call from 7am Sunday – 7am Monday.
- Call-back Percentage:Â Weekdays 2%, Weekend 5%, OB 20%, GYN 80%
- Locum tenens will work at satellite locations:Â No
- Dates of Coverage:Â ASAP to August 2025
- Reason for coverage:Â loss of Physicians in the community
- Percentage of the Practice:Â Low risk pregnancy 40%, High risk pregnancy 30%, C-Section 30%, Office GYN 80%, Surgical GYN 20%
- Average number of patients per day:Â Clinic 20, Hospital 1-2
- Average number of deliveries per physician:Â 3
- Average number of GYN Surgeries per week:Â Clinic 1-3, Hospital 1-2
- OB/GYNs in your group:Â 5
- Mid-levels:Â 3.5
- Locum tenens physician required to supervise other healthcare providers:Â No
- Other OB/GYNs be present during locum tenens coverage:Â Yes
- Onsite Lab & Ultrasound Performed by Tech
- No. of exam rooms:Â 12
- Office ancillary staff:Â 1/1 MA coverage, Sonographer, 3 front desk, 1 surgical scheduler
- Documentation:Â EMR for Clinic and Hospital
- Locum tenens will require hospital privileges:Â Yes
- Time needed to obtain privileges:Â 90 days
- Number of hospitals the locum tenens will cover: 1

- Trauma level III
- Referral/Transfer protocol:Â in-house UCH Doc Line
- Locum tenens will be involved in covering/supervising teaching services (residents/fellows):Â Yes, oversee Community Health Center CNM's with c-section
- Low risk pregnancy – Pt’s with pre-existing problems, history of twins, history of toxemia,pyelonephritis, hyperemesis,etc.
- High risk pregnancy – Pt.’s with toxemia, diabetes, Class II or higher cardiacs, chronic lung problems, chronic renal disease, etc.Â
- FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
- OB ultrasounds -Â Level I/screening (viability) &Â Level II/targeted (anatomic)Â
- Routine delivery–Vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section
-  Complicated delivery –C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc.
- VBAC’s
- Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Office/minor gynecology –IUD, Cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
-  Surgical gynecology *– open laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only –tubal ligation, LOA’s, chromal tubation & operative/major (includes diagnostic) – ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA’s
Preferred Areas/Procedures:
- OB ultrasounds – Performance of & Interpretation
- Board Certified OB/GYN
- Active CO License or IMLC
- BLS, ACLS, NRP
- Must disclose the # of years of Epic Experience and the Last MM/YYYY provider used EPIC
- Must be available to provide weekend coverage as listed in job descriptionÂ
- Must be available to start ASAPÂ
- Clean Malpractice/BackgroundÂ
- COVID VaccinatedÂ

Lisa joined Wapiti Medical Staffing as a Recruiter in February 2022. Prior to coming to Wapiti, Lisa spent over 21 years in Retail Pharmacy in multiple roles including Manager, CPhT and Compliance Officer. Some of her accolades include Diabetic Lifestyle Coach, Orthotic Shoe Fitter and ACHC Accreditation Specialist. Lisa was also the recipient of Pharmacy Technician of the Year Award by the South Dakota Board of Pharmacy.
Lisa is a mother of two adult children, Eric and Brooke, whom she is incredibly proud of. In her spare time, she enjoys DIY projects, drawing and painting, traveling both domestically and internationally, cooking, gardening and experiencing new adventures so she can continue to check things off her bucket list.
