OB/GYN Physician for Laurium, MI - (Perm)

Â
- Order Description:  Perm OB/GYN for Laurium and Houghton Clinics with an average of about 200 births annually. Typical day is 10 patients per day, but room for growth. Midwife coverage. Clinic is open Monday – Friday but may do 4-day work week. EMR is EPIC. Level III NICU located at tertiary centers in Wausau, WI, and Marquette, MI.
- Candidate Requirements:
- Open to considering new candidates

- Eligible to J1 Candidates.
- BC or BE boarded.
- Michigan DEA/CSR +Â State License Required
- Certifications: BLS only required; would prefer PALS/NRP.
- 3 references needed before presenting CV to facility!
- Pay Details: $380K, $50K sign-on, $200K in student loan repayment ($40K over 5yrs). After two years they would be eligible for quality incentives.
- Current Staffing/Need:Â Â normal business hours 8-5 plus 15 days of call/month.

- Light call, nurse midwives are primary (two split call)
- Ancillary Services: Is supported by 24/7 lab and diagnostics, ultrasound, MRI on site twice weekly
- Physician Back Up: Has 24/7 access to surgeons, anesthesia services, orthopedics, OB and Cardiology. Hospitalist on site from 9 am to 6pm - come in after hours for ICU patients or inpatient transfer.
- AKH had 174 deliveries 7/1/22-7/1/23 and 179 fiscal year prior.

- Physician will provide clinic services at Laurium and Houghton Clinics
- Deliveries/surgery done at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital
- Clinic open Monday-Friday; open to 4-day work week
- Typical patient load is in the clinic is 10/day, but lots of room for growth
- Average of 200 births a year
- Light call, nurse midwives are primary (two split call)
