Job Description
Shift(s) Description:
- M-F, call cases on some weekends
- Call 1:4 with APP taking 1st call. 24 hour call shifts, approximate 7-8 consecutive days/nights of call. No elective cases or clinic while on Trauma Call
Job Description:
- Case mix includes complex spine, neurovascular conditions, brain and trauma
- Robust spine center with integrated Pain and PMR
- Patient Demographic: Adult
- Average number of surgical cases per day: 1
- Level II Trauma Level
- Annual ER Volume: 65,000
- Number of Neurosurgeons in Practice: 4
- Dedicated Clinic RN for each Physician
- Dedicated Neuro-Ortho surgery team, will have an APP for all cases
- APP’s primary assist with daily inpatient rounding
- EMR Systems: Inpatient is Cerner and Outpatient is AllScripts
- On site X-Ray, CT and MRI/ Functional MRI
- Client is only interested in Perm candidates.
- Clinical practice experience strongly preferred
- Cranial Burr Holes
- Intracranial Pressure Monitor or Insertion of, Intracranial Hemorrhage
- Tumor Removal
- Braid Bleed Stoppage
- Trauma Repair
- Shunt Insertion or Revision
- Stereotactic Radiosurgery
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Neurocritical Conditions
- Ventricular Taps, Ventriculoperitoneal shunt/taps/reprogramming, Ventriculostomy
- Spine Surgery Procedures, Discectomy, Laminectomy, Spinal Fusion, Spine Stabilization and Reconstruction
- Lumbar Puncture
- Placement of Lumbar Drains
- CSF Sampling from Shunts or External Ventricular Drains
- Management and Interpretation of ICP and CPP Data
- External Ventricular Drain Management
- Board Certified (ABNS) or Board Eligible - REQUIRED
- IA License - REQUIRED (IMLC accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, APLS - REQUIRED
- NALS or ATLS - REQUIRED
- COVID Vaccination - REQUIRED
- Availability - REQUIRED
- Experience with Adult and Trauma Neurosurgery cases - REQUIRED
- Experience in Required Procedures (see Practice Description attachment) - REQUIRED
