Job Description


Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a full time (1.0 FTE) Movement Disorders Physician to join our Trinity Health Hauenstein Neurosciences team located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

 

Practice Features:
  • Treatment model focuses on the use of pharmacology and non-surgical methods
  • If surgery is required, our experts are highly experienced in surgical insertion and programming of deep brain stimulation
  • Research partner with MSU

As a THMG employed provider, you can anticipate:
  • Cutting-edge, respected movement disorders practice with multi-state referrals
  • Opportunity for clinical research or partnership with basic research groups in the region
  • Teaching opportunities (bedside/clinic and didactic teaching) with residents and students; Leapfrog “best teaching hospital”
  • Collaborative practice with routine interaction with general neurology and neurosurgery
  • 1:8 call (approximately), weekends only

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Fellowship in movement disorders - REQUIRED
  • Physicians must be Board Certified in their specialty within 5 years of completion of residency - REQUIRED
  • State of Michigan license - REQUIRED 
  • DEA - REQUIRED 
  • ACLS & BLS - REQUIRED
  • COVID vaccine - REQUIRED

Mercy Health Hauenstein Neurosciences' team of medical experts provides accurate diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease and essential tremor.

Our treatment model focuses on the use of pharmacology and non-surgical methods. If surgery is required, our experts are highly experienced in surgical insertion and programming of deep brain stimulation. In addition, we've been a research partner to both Michigan State University and the Van Andel Research Institute, helping infuse research and technology into our care.
