The major strength of Weeks Medical Center is found in the ability of our physicians and staff to offer extensive services utilizing state-of-the-art technology while maintaining the personalized care of a community hospital. Weeks is a 25-bed critical access hospital offering medical, surgical, and intensive care services. In addition, a wide variety of outpatient services are available, including cardiac and physical rehabilitation; a fully-staffed oncology department; 24-hour emergency care; a fully equipped laboratory; and an extensive radiology department. Job Description
North Country Healthcare is looking for a Permanent Medical Director in picturesque, small town New Hampshire!Â
Job Description:
- Fulltime outpatient position with leadership/Division Chair interest.
- Seeking a provider who plans to stay and practice within the community
- Serves as the clinician who oversees and guides the outpatient care and the medical director(s) of quality for primary care, facilitates office flow and addresses day-to-day clinical aspects, and acts as the direct clinical supervisor for outpatient medical practitioners
- The Primary Care Medical Director will spend 1/3 of the scheduled time, approximately 12 hours per week on Medical Director Responsibilities and 2/3 of time, 28 hours per week as a primary care clinician and will work collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of the health care team within the Health Centers and the Hospital
- 20-24 patients per day
- Enjoys EMR Optimization, implementation and development, best practice strategies as well as direct patient care
- Community call (including local nursing home patients) TBD, likely 1:4
- EMR is Meditech Expanse, Dragon dictation
- Reports to the Chief Medical Officer
- Supported by an RN Team leader and designated MA
- Specialist services available through Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital a couple times per week. Audiology, Cardiology, ENT/Allergy, General Surgery, Neurology, OB/GYN, Orthopaedics, Podiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Radiology, Sleep Medicine,Tele-Medicine Rheumatology, Urology.
- Excellent IT and Marketing support to help build volume
- Competitive compensation, including wRVU productivity.  Provider may submit salary expectations with presentation.
- Medical Director Stipend
- up to $19,000 relocation/rental assistance
- Commencement bonus and Retention bonus for years 2 and 3
- Student Loan Repayment application assistance
- 5 weeks of vacation, 5 days sick time
- CME time and money

- Malpractice insurance with tail
- Board Certified Family Medicine OR Internal Medicine (will consider Board Eligible but must have plans to become Board Certified shortly after employment)Â

- VERY limited shopping, theater, music, movie theater, etc. options without driving to Montreal (2.5 hours), Boston (2.5 hours), Manchester (2.5 hours),or Burlington (3 hours) but we know our UPS, USPS, and FedEx drivers well and they will place your packages safely on your porch during inclement weather instead of leaving them outside.
- Closest airport is Burlington or Portland, ME (2.7 hours).
