Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center is looking for a locum Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant!
*Option for locum to perm*
Dates of coverage:
• ASAP (as soon as credentialed)
Job Details:
• Practice Setting: Outpatient/Hospital-Based
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm (8 hours per day plus call), After hour call and weekend call, Weekend 1:2 Weekday shared with 2nd APC
• Average Number of Patients Per Day: Outpatients 1-5, Inpatients 5-10
• Patient Age Demographic: Adults 18 years or older
• Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
• Supervising physician will be present
Job Requirements:
• Pre-Op Physical Exams
• Suture Removal
• Diagnose Illnesses
• Treat Illnesses
• Order Tests
• Interpret Tests
• Assist in Surgery
• Write Prescriptions
• Administrative Duties
• Coordination of Care
• Rounding
• Thoracentesis
• Chest Tube Insertions
• Placement of Central Venous and Dialysis Catheters
• Placement of Arterial Lines and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps
• Retrieval of Vascular Tissues for Use as a Bypass Conduit
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90-120 days
Submission Requirements
NCCPA Certified - REQUIRED
Active VA License - REQUIRED
BLS & ACLS Certified - REQUIRED
COVID Vaccinated - Noted at time of name clear
Experience - REQUIRED; no new grads
