Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician. Details are listed below.

Practice Setting: Inpatient Oncology Unit 
Reason for Coverage: Coverage while we recruit---Retirement
Dates of Coverage: ASAP-6 months with opportunity to extend 
Call Schedule: overnight telephonic call (rotating)
Call Ratio: approx 1:8 
Patient Population for Required Coverage:  Adult, Geriatric
What Percentage of the Practice is Hematology %, Oncology %, Internal Medicine %?:  
Hem--60%
Onc--40%
IM--0%
Number of Physicians in Practice:  7
Will There be Radiation Oncologists Present During Locum Tenens Coverage? yes
How Many APPs Provide Coverage:  1 dedicated for inpt coverage: 11 total---some round on the weekends 
Average Number of Patients Per Day - HOSPITAL (Call/Rounding):variable-----approx 5-20
Clinical Area: Oncology - Inpatient Setting, Hematology - Inpatient Setting
Trauma Level/Designation (Hospital):  level one
Documentation System/EMR:  Epic 
Administration of Chemotherapy: Nurse oncologist
Facility reimburse for the following costs: Provider Must be local - only mileage is reimbursed

Required Procedures:  
  • Chemotherapy - Intrathecal
Required Duties: 
  • Participation on a Tumor Board
  • Orders Tests
  • Orders Images
  • Prescribes
Submission Requirements
  • Board Certified/ Board Eligible 
  • BC Oncologist
  • Active CT license
