Mercy Medical Center is seeking multiple locum EM providers to start as soon as credentialed!
Shifts and Hours:Â Days and Night--Focus on nights for June and come July will need day and night coverage
Dates of Coverage:Â June 2025, Ongoing. Starting in June 8-10 shifts per month needed. July ongoing will be a consistent 10-12 shifts per month.
Percent (%) of Total Hospital Admissions Received from ED: 15%
Percent (%) of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital per Day: 15%
Percent (%) of ED Patients Transferred per Day: 1-2 pts per day
Trauma Level/Designation:Â None-we are a community hospital
Total Number of Beds:Â 44
Annual ER Volume: 55,000
Number of ED Physicians in Group:Â 11 total physicians of which 5 are leaving
Fast track in ED
Fast Track Staffed APP
Percent (%) of Total ED Volume Treated by Fast Track:Â 40%
Will the Locum Physician be Required to Supervise Other Health Care Providers? APPs yes
Documentation System/EMR:Â Epic
Does ED Staff Respond to House Codes? Yes
If Yes, are House Codes Secondary to ED Emergencies? Please Explain:
Secondary to ED emergencies, we have a response team. ED does airway on that team
Who Writes Admission Orders?: Hospitalists
Do Hospital Bylaws Require a Specific Response Time for On Call Physicians (List Time)?  30 minutes or lessÂ
Are Deliveries Received in ED or Sent Directly to Labor & Delivery? L&D
Is ED Responsible for Monitoring/Supervising Paramedics/Ambulance by Radio? Yes
Describe Referral / Transfer Protocol (Include Name of the Referral Center and Distance from your Facility):Â Transfer to STF as our Hub. Communication within the ED Departments
Ambulance Response Time & Travel Referral Facility:Â within 20-30 minutes/Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center
24 Hour Availability for Radiology (CT, MRI, X-Ray)? Yes
24 Hour Availability for Laboratory? Yes
Blood Bank - Certified by AABB? Yes
