Job Description




Berkshire Medical Center is actively seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician. 

This is full-time coverage, spanning from June to October 2025. Ideally, looking for a provider that can go between both locations (job 57990). The biggest needs are weekends, evenings and overnights. Will prioritize best availability and MA licensed providers.

Total Number of Beds: 32
Annual ER Volume: 55,000
EMR: Meditech 
  • What are the physicians scheduled hours? 8 hour shifts available 
  • Is the EM responsible for codes? No.
  • Would admissions be required or is there a Hospitalist on staff? Admissions are performed by the hospitalist or admitting service
  • Is there APP coverage? Yes.
  • Percent (%) of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital per Day: 30
  • Do Hospital Bylaws Require a Specific Response Time for On Call Physicians (List Time)? Yes- 30 Min.
  • Are Deliveries Received in ED or Sent Directly to Labor & Delivery? Directly to Labor & Delivery 
  • Is ED Responsible for Monitoring/Supervising Paramedics/Ambulance by Radio? Yes
Submission Requirements
  • Active MA license - Highly preferred, MA licensed providers priority
  • BLS, ACLS, ATLS (at least once in career) 
  • ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible (Within 5 years of Residency) 
  • Clean background required for quick credentialing (June start date)
  • Please provide availability at time of name clear
  • Local providers - no flights
