Job Description



OVP Health is actively seeking qualified Emergency Medicine-trained or experienced Advance Practice Provider (NP or PA) to help grow our EM program at OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital in Athens, OH.  

Job Description:
  • Emergency Medicine- or Family Medicine-trained in addition to at least 2 years EM experience as an NP/PA are required
  • OVP is a family-owned physician group practice company focused on the delivery of hospitalist and emergency department physicians. OVP's physicians and affiliated providers practice in hospitals and other inpatient facilities. 
  • EMR-EPIC
  • Daily census- 31.6
  • Nightly admissions- average about 5-6
  • 24 hr physician coverage
  • Physician shifts- (2) 7a-7p, (1) 7p-7a
  • APP shifts- 11a-11p
  • Number of ICU beds- 12
  • Specialty Coverages- Pulmonology Mon-Fri (but will accept evening and weekend calls), Surgery, Ortho, Cardiology, Pediatrist, Optho, Interventional Radiology (para, thoracentesis, bone marrow, ports) Picc line nurse
  • Currently Anesthesia is training RT for intubation of patients.  RT will be available to assist 24 hours.  
  • Not accepting Locums candidates
  • Not accepting new graduate candidates - experience required
Compensation and Benefits:
  • May be contracted as W2 w/benefits or 1099 independent contractor w/ guaranteed shifts
    - 1099 - $77/hr
    - W2 - $70/hr
  • W2 positions offer:
    - Health/Dental/Vision (w/HSA)
    - $250k group life policy
    - 401k w/ 3% company contribution
    - $1500 CME
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Board Certified NP/PA 
  • OH License (or in process)
  • Proof of COVID vaccination (upload to Documents)
  • BLS and ACLS (prior to start) 
  • Emergency Medicine- or Family Medicine-trained with at least 2 years EM experience as an NP 
  • Clean background, no malpractice
