Job Description

Wapiti Medical Staffing is seeking a locum Emergency Room Doctor (MD or DO) for Ironwood Michigan

1. Order Description:  Guaranteed Locum. ER MD/DO  9K – 10K annual ED visits (Approximately 26 patients per 24 hours) APP 2nd Coverage 11am-9pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday. Facility will allow 24 hour shifts to currently credentialed physicians in this transition and ask for some 12 hour shifts. Newly privileged/recruited physician expectation is 12 hour shifts only. EMR is Epic. Trauma Level IV.
2. Candidate Requirements:
   1. Michigan State License, DEA, and CSA are required
   2. Covid/Flu Vaccination Requirement: COVID can be declined, yearly flu shot required.
   3. BC/BE: (Board eligible physicians must have current life supports until boarded). FM or EM boards accepted. Prefer EM
   4. ATLS, ACLS, PALS, AND BLS (all waived if ABEM certified)
   5. Physician must have adequate ER procedure logs for hours worked in the past 12 months.ose already credentialed may work 24 hour shifts.
