Job Description
Wapiti Medical Staffing is seeking a physician for locum tenens Emergency Department coverage in Boone, Iowa.

PHYSICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES / FACILITY DETAILS
- Locum tenens position for physician (MD or DO); PRN shifts available throughout the week with a larger need on Saturdays and Sundays
- Shifts run 12 hours, with a 24-hour max shift
- Trauma Level IV
- Annual volume: 9, 000 (approximately 25 pts in 24 hrs)
- EMR is Meditech
- Typical timeline to credential is 4-6 weeks
PHYSICIAN (MD/DO) REQUIREMENTS
- Iowa medical license and DEA/CSR
- Must be board certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine (EM) or Family Medicine (FM): will consider Internal Medicine (IM) with experience
- Third year residents with experience will be considered
- Required life support certifications include BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS. ATLS is waived for residency trained and boarded EM docs. Will accept AMRI for ACLS and PALS.
- Covid/Flu vaccinations required, but exemptions may be filed
