Preventing Mental Health Problems Before They Start
How do we make sure our kids have the coping skills they need in today’s complicated world? How do we improve relationships so kids don’t feel isolated? How do we help the child who feels bullied? How do we empower our kids to have the positive self-esteem necessary to endure any of these issues? Eastway is uniquely positioned to not only focus on kids struggling with mental health issues but preventing them as well. And in today’s current climate, Eastway believes prevention initiatives are more important than ever.

The nation’s largest multi-sport festival, the Arnold Sports Festival, is held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in the spring. There are many festivals in the summer, including the COSI Science Festival, Columbus Asian Festival, Columbus Pride Festival, and Downtown Columbus’ Independence Day celebration, Red, White & BOOM! Even in the fall, we have the All-American Quarter Horse Congress, Fashion Week Columbus, and the Ohio State Fair. There are events in Columbus to enjoy for any time of the year.

Eastway Behavioral Healthcare in the greater Columbus and Dayton, OH area is hiring a dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team full-time. This is an exciting opportunity to join Eastway as we continue to ensure the highest quality of services we provide to our clients.
Job Description:
- This position will be responsible for psychiatric services in the child and adolescent residential facilities we have in Dayton, Washington Courthouse and Columbus, Ohio. Will service clients at the 3 locations weekly. This provider's main location will be in Columbus with regular travel to Dayton and Washington Courthouse locations (with mileage reimbursement at current IRS rate).
- Providing diagnostic and evaluation services for clients. Clients can range in age from 6-18 years old.
- Providing medication management.
- Meeting with clients and evaluating their conditions.
- Document services and progress of the clients per our guidelines.
- Commitment to being respectful with the cultural diversity, and personal values and tradition of clients and their families in alignment with Eastway Behavioral Healthcare agency mission.
- Provide supervision to nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants.
- Flexible schedule between 7:00 am-6:00 pm.
