Job Description

Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital Cardiac Surgery Center is looking for locum Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner coverage starting July 2023! 

Open dates:
  • 7/1/2023 - 12/31/2023
Shift(s) Description:
  • Monday - Thursday
  • 7a - 5p
  • 1:6 weekend call

Job Details:
  • Reason for Coverage: Cover FMLA leave. Start with weekend call.
  • Practice Setting: Office/Clinic/Outpatient/Hospital-Based
  • Average Number of Patients Per Day:  4-6
  • APP will work autonomously; supervising physician present during assignment
  • Patient Age Demographic:  Adult, Geriatric
  • EMR: EPIC

  • Order Tests
  • Suture Removal
  • FMLA/Disability paperwork
  • Office visits
  • Chest tube removal
  • Phone calls
  • Home health orders
  • Preop prep orders
  • Medication management
  • Coordination of all patient care
  • Treat Illnesses
  • Interpret Tests
  • Administrative Duties
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days

Travel Reimbursement Caps:
  • Lodging: ~$150/night
  • Airfare: Standard economy 
  • Rental Car: Standard Economy

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Board Certified (AAANP, ANCC) - REQUIRED
  • Active VA License - Highly preferred; willing to accept providers needing to obtain license
  • BLS, ACLS Certified - REQUIRED
