Job Description

Silver Cross Hospital is in need of Perm Anesthesiologists at their hospital, possible Surgery Center, and possible Endoscopy Center.

Details:

• ASAP 
• Shift times are variable with a potential for call
• Open for full-time permanent positions with weekend coverage
• Trauma level II
• 10 ORs
• Patient age demographic: pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric
• Required procedures: General surgical cases, IV regional anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, regional anesthesia, OB cases, neurosurgical cases
• Will accept new grads
• Will NOT accept visa candidates
• EMR: Cerner

 

1. Turnover rate - very low
2. General structure of the team - MD/CRNA care model
3. How often is the weekend schedule? The call is 24 hours and there is an incentive attached to it.  Approximately 2-3 calls a month.
4. Who will be performing the blocks and spinals?  Spinals and epidurals can be done by CRNAs, all nerve blocks are done by MDs. 
5. Who will be doing pre-op?  Preops are for the most part done by the MDs unless it’s a MAC case where the CRNAs can do it.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS  

• Board Certified - REQUIRED
• Active IL license or in process of obtaining license at time of submission - REQUIRED
• DEA, CSR, BLS, ACLS, PALS - REQUIRED
• COVID and Flu vaccines - REQUIRED (note at time of name clear)
• US Trained and Boarded - REQUIRED

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Board Certified
• Controlled Substance (CSR/CDS)
• DEA
• PALS
