Job Description



Maine Medical Center is looking for a locums CRNA to fill their need!

Schedule:
  • Dates of coverage: Starting ASAP, ideally at least 6-month contracts, will take as short as 3 months. 
  • Schedule: 36-40 hours/week. 10- or 12-hour shifts; 0700-1730; 0700-1900 (option for 0900-1900; 0900-2100; 1100-2300) 
Details:
  • Reason for Coverage: Expansion of clinical services.
  • Practice Setting: Hospital based
  • Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
  • CRNA be Supervised or Work Independently: We utilize a medical direction billing model with a fairly collaborative practice model.  
  • Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: 100
  • Average Number of Pain Management Cases: 0
  • Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Annual ER Volume: >60,000 visits/year
  • Description of OR Staff: Maine is a friendly state. Our surgeons & physician anesthesiologists are generally kind and supportive. Our CRNA team is excellent, and we pride ourselves on a collaborative culture where the patient is the center of our universe. 
  • Number of Operating Rooms:  50
  • Patient Age Demographic: All ages are in our ORs; however, we have a pediatric CRNA specialty team who cover all of our pedi cases.
  • Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 120 days 
Required Procedures:
  • General Surgical Cases ADULT
  • Spinal Anesthesia
  • Neurosurgical Cases
  • Ventilation Management
  • Local Infiltration
  • CRNAs will NOT do open hearts, regional anesthesia, central lines. We have dedicated CRNA teams that cover pediatric, thoracic and OB cases, so locums will generally not do those cases. 
Submission Requirements
  • Board Certification (AANA) 
  • ME State License
  • BLS, ACLS 
  • >1 year of level 1 trauma center experience as a CRNA
