MercyOne Clive Gastroenterology Care Clinic is looking for a locum to start in July and help cover for 6 months

Our expectation is to find a physician to perform a minimum of 12 endoscopies per day, 5 days per week. Looking for candidates with clean malpractice records preferably. It is hard to get approval with Medical Staff for providers with any active/recent malpractice cases in the last 10-20 years. Â SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Shift Description:
- Monday-Friday
- 7:30am - 4pm
- No call
- July start - 6 month assignment
Details:
- Outpatient hospital
- Reason for coverage: high demand for scopes and behind on scheduling - needing extra help
- Patient demographic: Adults in the endoscopy suite
- Lab onsite
- X-ray onsite
- 12-14 patients per day
- Either ACLS, APLS, PALS, NALS, or ATLS cert is required because this role needs moderate sedation privileges for scoping and CPR certification is required to obtain moderate sedation privileges
- Required procedures listed in attached practice description
- 60 day credentialing timeframe
- Lodging choices must be approved in advance before booking
- EMR: Allscripts

- Active IA license or IMLC in hand -Â required
- Must have an active life support in order to obtain moderate sedation privileges -Â required
- Must be available full time for a 6 month assignment -Â required
- Clean background/malpractice -Â required
- Covid vaccinated? - required
