Job Description:
St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates, P.C, a physician-governed, multi-specialty group, is a member of St. Peter’s Health Partners in NY's Capital District. St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates provides a new model of physician practice that permits St. Peter’s Health Partners to evolve as a health system with strong physician participation while allowing physicians to retain those aspects that make private practice work well in the care of patients. It is one of the largest multi-specialty physician group practices in the region with more than 20 specialties and sub-specialties represented, over 350 providers in 2014, and more than 40 office locations in a six county region.
St. Peter’s Health Partners, the region’s largest private-sector employer, with more than 12,500 employees, has more than 125 locations across seven counties. The system has an annual budget of nearly $1.1 billion. St. Peter’s Health Partners was created on October 1, 2011 by the merger of Northeast Health, St. Peter’s Health Care Services, and Seton Health. The merger created the region’s largest and most comprehensive not-for-profit network of high-quality and advanced medical care, primary care, rehabilitation, and senior services.
These state-of-the-art services and programs are provided through Albany Memorial and St. Peter’s Hospitals in Albany, NY; Samaritan and St. Mary’s Hospitals in Troy, NY; Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady, NY; and The Eddy system of continuing care and The Community Hospice.

St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates (SPHPMA) has full time employment opportunities for Board Certified or Board Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiology physicians to join a practice located in Schenectady, New York.
Job Description:
- Must be interested in treating Non-Invasive Cardiology cases and performing procedures in both the inpatient and outpatient environments.
- Shift description: 50/50- hospital/clinics
- On call: 1 weeknight per week (they rarely have to come in- telephone call). Weekend call rotation is 1:5 supported with APPs on weekends- they round in hospital on weekend days and are on call by phone at night- very rarely have to come in on overnights- we have inhouse night Cardiologist
- Since the practice's founding in 1990, it has been on the cutting edge of cardiovascular care for residents of Schenectady and Saratoga counties and the surrounding area. Composed of 25 cardiologists and 10 physician assistants, the practice currently offers a full range of cardiovascular testing, diagnostic, and treatment services for residents of Schenectady, Montgomery, Fulton and Saratoga counties.
- SPHPMA has a strong cardiovascular physician practice presence in the Capital Region with offices in Albany, Troy, Clifton Park and Glens Falls, and Saratoga Springs.
- These are excellent opportunities for Non-Invasive Cardiology physicians to join an outstanding practice within St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates, P.C.
- Not accepting Locums candidates
- Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates
- New 2024 and recent grads as well as experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Salary range: $500,000 and $525,000 per year
- Starting bonus
