POSITION/FACILITY DETAILS
- Permanent position for physician hospitalist
- 12 hour shifts
- Second coverage: Physician on day shift (7a – 7p) and an APP (7a – 3p). Physician or an APP available for the night shift (7p – 7a) second coverage. There is the support provider on shift and will always be working with a Physician as the primary
- the role is a support role to the Hospitalist Physician that is staffed 7am to 7pm
- Duties include: Patient Admits, transfer coordination, manager care of current inpatients, attend inpatient codes/rapid responses. Have E-ICU and E-Hospitalists if multiple admits happen and need assistance.
- Average 12 – 15 census on the med/surge floor and ICU. 2 admits at night and 3-4 during the day per physician.
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
- South Dakota medical license and DEA/CSR
- Must be board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- BLS life support certification required; ACLS preferred
- COVID/Flu vaccination required, but exemptions available
